Tip of the Quarter

Spring - 2008.
In a housing market like the current one - many people will decide to stay where they are rather than move - and that's good news for all the home projects that you haven't done in the last couple of years ... especially the kitchen. Taking the time now, when interest rates are low, to remodel your kitchen is a good way to revive your living space and get the convenience and beauty of new cabinets and appliances.

When the market comes back to where you would like it to be for you as a seller - you will have done all the work to make you house easy to sell!

And if you do choose to sell now: It's a buyer's market. There is a lot of inventory out there in the market and having your house be a STAND OUT is necessary in order to move it quickly. And there is no better way to make your house a sure-thing than to update the kitchen.

Winter - 2007.
If you are getting ready to begin your kitchen remodeling project - start by looking at your budget. Budget will be the most important determining factor when you start to look at all the possible solutions to your remodeling needs. Knowing what you have to spend will make your whole project move forward quickly.

Fall - 2007.
“Quality is remembered long after the price is forgotten”

In purchasing new cabinetry, you know that you are making a great long term investment in your home. The process can be very exciting. There are some key questions that you will want to ask to make sure you get the most out of what are paying for. When working with a designer, check to see if they offer professional installation - and make sure that their sub-contractors or in-house labor is fully insured. If you choose to hire your own contractor, it is always best to get insurance information, references and contractor's license numbers (if applicable in your state) at the same time you are requesting a quote. By getting this basic information up front, you are protecting your investment. So have fun and be smart when buying your new kitchen!

D and D Cabinets, Inc. has partnerships with Designers, Decorators, Contractors, and Appliance shops in most areas of the state. We recommend working with one of our trusted partners to get your job done right.
